About the Outfit
What a way to start off an instagram account – a bright bubblegum pink, ruffle sleeve dress. This particular look has been mainly brought to you by my local thrift store and Dollar Tree. Seriously, if you’re in need of some cheap headbands, the Dollar Tree is where it’s at. Granted they’re not the most durable and I’ve had to repair quite a few but it helps me have something to style my hair with each week.
This dress was found off the thrift store rack this past week, likely skipped over because it says it’s a 4x but fits much more like a 2x. It was love at first sight and I’m typically very anti-ruffle anything. In this case, my love of bright colors and things that are a bit unexpected sold the deal. The purse also came from the same thrift store on a separate trip and it’s been my daily go-to bag for the past few weeks. Dark emerald green seems to be my accent color of this summer season. I’ve been pairing it with everything.
Earrings were a set gifted to me years ago and I couldn’t find a good exact dupe but found an inspiration pair that still fits the vibe of the outfit. And a good stretch metal belt always dresses up any outfit and I constantly get comments as folks think they’re much more expensive than they are. I lucked out with this pair of brown leather Born sandals, also thrifted. I realized I could have paired my dark green slides instead of this neutral pair but 1) I’m sure they’ll make an appearance very soon and 2) I really wanted something to ground the brighter pops of color happening in the rest of the outfit.
